Hi everyone,
On some MKV’s files that I have with internal subtitles, when I open them through the web player, android app or Samsung TV app, I can only see subtitles in 5 languages, while if I open the same file with a desktop player such as VLC I can see 29 subtitles.
Unfortunately my language is not one of the 5 that appear on Plex.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a limitation?

Have you tried updating your server to see if that behavior is still the same / might have been fixed in the last ~9 months?
Okay, I’ve updated the server for the 4.34.4 version, but the issue remains.
as a workaround you could remove the subtitles you don’t need/want from the file (e.g. using MKVToolNix) – assuming Plex is indeed only showing the top-5 subtitles?!
Yes I can try to use that or get external subtitles as a workaround… Just wanted to understand if I’m doing anything wrong or if it’s a limitation.

What are “MKT” subtitles ? Is this a typing error?

I am not familiar with it in Video context.
I am familiar with it as a “Microsoft Marketing Plan Pro” file.

As Tom pointed out, MKVToolnix, specifically the GUI, exists for both Linux and Windows.
One of the most common uses is to remove all the unwanted “stuff” from downloaded files or from raw ripped discs.
It’s a very intelligent filter program. You select what you want to keep and it takes those selected tracks copying them to the output file and making sure the timing in the MKV file is correct.
It sounds like you have a file with a lot of unwanted extra tracks in it?
