I have only noticed this in my TV Show section. Within a TV show, Plex sometimes does not match the episodes of the show, even if the TVDB has them labeled. I have restarted the server, removed and replaced the files, made certain they are labeled like all the others but this still happens. It happens with multiple shows and occasionally remedies itself, but not often. This Plex Media server is running on Mac OS X 10.10.2 Yosemite.
If you look at the tvdb log in the PMS plugin logs folder does it show 404 errors ?
I’m having this issue as well. There is a 404 error in the log file under the PMS plugin logs folder.

The log file was on Linux Ubuntu machine had a similar message. It’s only happening with some of the episodes/shows. I had a show that was recently added and mismatched on plex. I didn’t realize it until now so I tried to correct it. Plex failed to grab any metadata, and I saw a similar message in my log file.
Yep, can confirm on Windows 10 as well. Noticed missing Metadata. Tried to fix mismatches.
Mostly get no search results, but other times I get results, but never correct.
Examples:
Big Bang - Works normal
Bones - Doesnt return Bones (has before)-Secrets of Bones, Star Trek, the Animated Series

/>!
having same problems with the beta new update pushed tonight did not fix. Repair install did not fix.
Glad I am not the only one.
OK. I guess this is a known issue from Plex. They just didn’t tell anyone except this one thread.
Any update on this? I can’t click the link you provided, it says I don’t have permission. So I’m not even sure what the actual issue is, all I know is my metadata isn’t working right. I am having an issue where Marvel’s Agent Carter metadata isn’t downloading.

I’m having the same problem, seems all the times are on the same day so might be an issue somewhere. Would love it if there was a main hub to check for updates (unless I missed the area)? Depressing to know that you can only find out if you have Plex Pass whether things are working or not.
Sorry guys. Basically it’s a cache issue. Here is the Plex post
Sorry you all are having trouble with TVDB. It looks like we have cached some bad data, so we are working with TVDB to try to mitigate this problem.
Hopefully in a few days, this will all be cleared up, but thanks for letting us know!
Since the other topic is for Plex Pass members only, figured I’d post the same message here.
It looks like everything has been resolved as of now with TheTVDB. I’m no longer having problems finding The Flash (2014), NCIS New Orleans, Marvel’s Agent Carter and so forth. :-bd
Not fixed on my end. The only way I can get metadata is manually searching using TVRage through the Movie Database agent.
