From your logs it looks like Plex is doing an initial scan but fails to get any data due what Plex experiences to be a network timeout. Hence it appears the movies are not matched in the first place.
Do you have any apps / security tools / firewalls that could prevent Plex from looking up its metadata sources?
Side note:
If you want to do a clean uninstall… follow the procedure described in the support article below. Uninstallers have a tendency to miss stuff or delete too much, causing more harm than help.
So I did some checking with TCPView, and found out that when I uninstalled Docker, it left some items in the hosts file. Cleaned that up thinking that was the issue. No dice.
Then disabled Windows Firewall. Still not working.
Here is a new log file. I am kind of at a loss. Is it throwing the same issue?

ETA: TV shows are downloading Metadata, it is just the Movies.
will25i1, I recently had a similar issue. So far, my problem has been resolved. May help you, may not.
Previously, all of my media displayed some data. I assumed this was okay. I’ve come to suspect that much of what I was seeing then was only thumbnails and previews generated by Plex because the actual metadata is different now from what I saw then. Also, I didn’t notice the metadata problem before I turned this setting off.
So, I investigated the the issue by checking one media’s data at a time in Plex (clicking the little “edit pen”) on the bottom left of the media’s icon. In that window, I found that all of my shows without metadata either had incorrect dates (1900-01-01), or something appended to the title (Movietitle s01). After I corrected the dates and titles, I was able to get metadata matches.
One TV Show had an minor error where, when selected, the show’s description would flash on the screen, then vanish. I restarted Plex in the terminal and when I logged back in, that problem was gone.
It’s not you. I’m having the same issue with a docker local server, a remote docker server, and 2 bare metal servers and movies do not match up at all. TV works fine, but tons of the movies are missed and it matches up some of the wrong crap and years. Something has def happened.
I’m having the same issue and I’m using a Mac. I can match the tv shows, though it’s now a painstaking process of having to hunt down each number from TVDB.
Hi, same issue for me, in the last few weeks all movies will not get metadata or posters. I see the upgrade library function which changes the agent but still no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks
I have tried that. I set the date, I have also tried using other scanners(Legacy) and still have not been able to match my movies. It is rather frustrating when my wife already thinks I have to mess with stuff too much. And now all the movie poster are not working.
Same boat here, I’ve just been manually adding moving posters for the past few weeks because it’s driving me insane that I can’t match any metadata. Hoping this bug gets adequate attention soon .
Same issue here. For the last month or so I have been adding posters to movies because Plex isn’t matching anything thinking that the movies I was adding were to new but in the last couple days I’ve added older movies and still Plex is not matching them. Even when I do a manual match or change the library for the search it doesn’t even do the scan thing like it’s looking for it. It just immediately says “no match”. I have the current version of Plex but still the same issue. Hope the fix is coming soon.
Update: I was playing around with the search box and if I delete the year off the title in the title box and put the year in the year box then it finds them all correctly and adds the metadata. Not sure why I have to do this as before it would find them all automatically and if it didn’t I could search again and it would give me a list to pick from and usually the correct one was in the list. BTW this whole time the TV side as been working correctly for me. Anytime I add a new series it finds automatically and adds the metadata correctly. At least that side seems to still work.
All of my Originally Available dates are 1900-01-01. No matter what I do, changing the date to the date the movie was released, changing the file name, nothing will let me match the movie. It just won’t match. Period.
I tried changing search options in “Fix Match”. No dice. I tried all the different scrapers. Nothing.
I can go into each movie, and manually select the Cover/Poster, which are in the list when I click “Edit” then “Poster”. But I have no other metadata.
Another longer way to get it to just show the Cover/Poster is to do an automatch using The Movie Database which takes 30 seconds. It will come back with nothing showing for the movie. ie. blank cover image on the library page. Then click the three dots and hit unmatch, and it will then display the Cover/Poster correctly, but still with 0 metadata.
I am at a loss. Would REALLY like to hear from someone on the PLEX team on something to try/do!
