Plex not finding server

Spoke to soon. Stopped scanning music half way thru. Switched off then back on and I got the No soup for you error. My nas is visable but unavable.
I will send my logs with fingers crossed.

Logs (3).zip (102.3 KB)

The above applied to both Firefox and Incognito.

Why on earth did you do that?

Also, logs indicates, that you upgraded to a newer version as well?
So how did you upgrade, since PMS is no longer claimed?

PLEASE PLEASE don’t let me work in the dark here, since that’ll only result in me stepping down!

I didnt stop scanning plex did, it got to 4200 tracks and it just stoped.
I then tried to setup tv programes but plex failed to scan the folder.
I upgraded to the latest version as when I had access it said there was a later version availble.
I have now got plex running after going thru the plex web site.
I started to load a music folder and again it has stopped scanning at 4200 tracks?
I think I shall have to give up, as I have taken up too much of your time.

Once more, please answer my questions

How did you upgrade?

And note, that scanning music libraries are the single most demanding thing for a Plex Server to do, and can run like what seems forever, sadly

I clicked on the download and then logged on to the nas and upgraded using the app center install manually option.

Did you install on top of the existing one, or did you remove that first?

On top of existing.
I also have 2 servers showing on my screen 1 is unaviable the other I am using.
Lord knows whats going on?

This doesn’t make sense…

To install on top is indeed the way it should have been done, but doing so would not render your PMS unclaimed, and also you only have logs from the new version in your latest zip, and no older ones?

As such, I once more susprect that you have an issue with QNAP file system, maybe due to your QNAP wasn’t powered down correctly at one time

Please in QNAP, do a file system check

Just check plex and now have an error
There was an unexpected error loading this library
That was the music library that stopped at 4200.

As said, in QNAP QTS, check the file system!

No errors on qts, all drives showing good.

Scanning the file system takes normally a while, so are you sure you did a file system check?

Have to leave this for now.
Tomorrow I am going to delete everything and reset the NAS.
Delete NAS from devices then start again.
will let you know tomorrow how it went???

Only checked hard drives, will do a full check tomorow.
