Plex not picking up new media or refreshing on removed media

Hi everyone,

So yesterday I decided to move to ubuntu server for my PMS. I ran into a few issues that are resolved now. However, at the moment my PMS is not automatically seeing new files on the share. The share is mounted via cifs in fstab.

I can manually Scan, wich seems to work seemlessly. Every new item gets picket up etc. But this is only with a manual scan. It does not scan automatically.

In the server settings under library i have set the library to renew on added, changed files and generally every 15 minutes. But nothing seems to happen.

Any of you experienced the same and found a solution?

My server is running ubuntu 18.04 server lts.

I can provide logs if needed.

inotify doesn’t work for remotely mounted disks

So you need to use either manual, or scheduled refresh via scheduled tasks
