I have content mirrored with Robocopy on two drives which are both added to the same library.
When I go to play a video if the file needs to be transcoded it just spins and then times out and crashes the plex client on the Chromecast. There is no network traffic generated.

If I use the option to select media to pick either of the files it will play with transcoding.

This doesn’t happen for content that doesn’t need to be transcoded.

Thoughts… (other than removing the duplicate path in the library to remove this problem) :slight_smile:

Is the audio transcoding?

If so, then probably this: Multiple Version and Audio Transcode Issue on Android

If multiple versions, and audio must transcode, playback fails. Choosing a specific version works.

Affects Android mobile & Android TV clients.

No workaround, other than eliminating the multiple versions.
