Hi, we’re beginners with the Synology NAS DS1520+…
We had Plex working completely fine on our computer and switched to the Synology NAS, now the server isn’t reachable outside of the network?
We have tried everything we know but think we’re a bit out of our depth to fix this!
Please help!!
Kara
Hi,
Thanks for your advice…
We have a TP Link AC20 but when I wne t into port forwarding I’m not really sure how to input the information!
Will attach a photo if you could help.

Okay, so I tried your recommendation and it actually stayed connected for a few minutes then switched off again grrrrr! I’m hoping this is progress lol
Is there anything else I can try nest?
Do I need to check anything in the NAS setting itself? With the Plex server being in the NAS is there anything I need to check in the NAS settings?

With your advice I have tested this on my 5G iPhone and it plays but it’s very pixelated, I went to the neighbours and tried it on their tv and there was no success
Enable relay is ticked!
How do I search the logs?
Kara
From what I can see there’s no access at all from our neighbours Tv.
Yep, we had about 20 or more friends using Plex with no issues before migrating over to Plex on the Synology NAS.
Normally if we had any issues with Plex we have been able to solve it ourselves but this is a mystery!
The only thing that has changed is having the Plex server on the NAS and not running off our regular home PC.
