Earlier today I noticed that some audio tracks were not correctly named, so I went directly into the folder being used by PMS and opened the files in a metadata editor and renamed them, (probably a mistake, I realise that now), but the changes did not show in Plex Web or in Plexamp, so I moved the entire folder to a local drive, then quit and restarted PMS, and moved the album folder back to the previous directory, but it didn’t do anything. Nothing I have tried since then has made any difference. What am I missing?
“Prefer local meta tags” in the properties of your music library.
After changing embedded meta tags, trigger “Refresh Metadata” on the album or artist.
If those changes were to an extent that the structure of the library is changed (e.g. different album artist), you may need a Plex Dance “light” (i.e. without step 4) to make Plex pickup the changes.
If none of the above makes any difference, you may need to verify the health of your server database:
Thanks, that worked.
