I recently cleared out my music folder of all the MP3s and have been replacing with rips to FLAC. Upon deleting the MP3s under Plex Server, the library updated to reflect the absence of a music library. I then put the new FLAC files in the same exact music directory, and told Plex to update library. It appears not to recognize any of the FLAC files. They are in the same directory, all files labeled in a proper subfolder with ‘Artist - Album Name’ as the folder structure. From my understanding FLAC is supported, so I’m not sure what is going on here.
I have a full library worth of Flac, so yes, Plex does indeed work with Flac.
