Plex not scanning all movies in folder (M2 Pro Mac mini + Synology NAS via SMB)

Server Version#: 1.41.0.8994

Hi
I’ve got my M2 Pro Mac mini running my Plex server. The media drive is on a Synology 916+ connected via SMB.

In the past 8 years it was running on an iMac and I migrated it about a year ago. Running smooth as always, though since last week I noticed that all of a sudden the number of movies is varying between 300 to 800:

While it should be around 1.500:

I never changed anything, though I’ve tried all the basic things:

  • Reboot mini + NAS
  • Re-created a new movies library and added the network drive again
  • Emptied the recycle bin on the NAS
  • Removed the recycle bin option of the movies folder
  • Checked the permissions of the shared folder on the NAS (number of movies changed)
  • Checked the permissions of the shared folder on the Mini
  • Mounted the network drive via SMB, AFP and FTP (number of movies changed)
  • Deleted all subfolders of the movies folder

Via AFP the number of movies went from about 800 to about 1300. Though AFP isn’t the preferred way to connect. If I add a new movie, it pops up immediately after a library update.

Any advice?
Thanks
