So I have Radarr pushing download to plex folder and I have got update library enabled after a move. I can see Plex scanning and it finds the movie in the logs. But then the movie doesn’t appear in my library. Only fix is that I have to remove the folder and then put it back in the same place. Plex then finds it again and appears in library. I am pretty sure this was not the case a while ago but something has changed either in my settings or Plex. Can anyone help?
Another thing that can cause issues is if you’re copying content to the drive and directly into the content location. In such a situation, when the content copy first starts, the Plex Media Server scanner can note the change and then wait 60s. If nothing else has changed at that point, it will perform a library scan.
However, if your content is copying and takes longer than a minute, then it’s possible for a situation to occur where the scan occurs before the copy finishes (and thus the content is not ready/available for the scan). Subsequent scans would not actually look in the directory because it doesn’t appear that the directory changed since the previous scan.
Thanks… sounds like it could be the above issue… Any settings I can change in Radarr and/or Plex? I mean I know the solution is to copy to a temp folder and then copy again to Plex folder… Just need some settings help and where might I find it in nzbget / Radarr / Plex …
It sounds like you do not have your Radarr and download client configured correctly. The download client should have separate incomplete and complete folder which are not the final destination. Radarr should rename the movie properly and move it to the final destination.
I don’t use it, I buy all my media but I helped set it up for a friend of mine. It has been a while and do not recall what we all did to get it working. I do know that we had to keep the downloading and completed folders separate and then Radarr would do the renaming and moving of the file. He has never had any problems that I know of but then again I do not know how often he uses it.
Now I don’t know anything about NZBGet as he uses SabNZB.
