I’ve noticed several movies that show up in plex in the thumb nail view, but when I go to play them, it says the file in unavailable. I’ve started to use Radarr to start upgrading my rips to better versions since I screwed up several of them when I first started, and didn’t want to go through that process again. So I think that could be part of the problem.
Since Radarr needs each movie to be in it’s separate folder, I would rename the files with file bot, create a folder with the same movie name, then would configure Radarr to monitor for better files. This has worked well for a while. Well now several of Radarr’s downloads are going to the correct folder, but plex isn’t picking them up. I know Radarr just had a big release and I reconfigured some of the settings so that’s what makes me think that may be part of the issue. So when I move the files to the root of the directory, plex finds them, but when I move them back to their own folder… no luck.
I can move the files Plex doesn’t see into their own directory and add them to Plex that way, but once I put each movie back in it’s own folder like it was originally… plex loose the movie.
in other words:
/movies/movie title (2020)/ movie title (2020).mkv works for most of the media. But not all that Radarr has grabbed.
But when I do
/movies/movie title (2020).mkv it will get the movie like normal. But when I try to put the movie in it’s own individual folder, it breaks the link and plex won’t find it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
