I am running Plex off of a linux server (PC) with an external HD with 2 partitions-- one for films and one for TV. The TV partition had a horrific HD failure. Could not see it at all. My brother was able to repair the partition and restore all but a few dozen files. I bought a new larger HD, and moved films and TV over to it.
Plex sees the films just fine. But, the TV shows do not restore correctly. All the files are on the HD, named properly, and can be played in VLC, BUT Plex does not see about 50% of them. For example, it’ll see all the seasons of a show, but only see half or even just 1 episode for a couple seasons. Or it’ll only see half the seasons and half the episodes. There is no rhyme or reason to it.
We have deleted the TV Shows from Plex, and added them again. We’ve deleted the ENTIRE Plex database file, and started it from scratch. We’ve refreshed metadata, and scanned for new files constantly. Can’t fix it. Any ideas?
