The best way to find out if it’s working or not is to use the mobile application.
When you use Plex Web, it refreshes it when you open the movie. In the application it doesn’t.
So if everything worked as intended; the mobile application should have the subtitiles. If not, then it is still broken.
I’m testing it now, adding a new movie and having Bazarr download the subtitles. Will edit once completed.
Testing results:
Added the movie and Bazarr downloaded the subtitles:
Nice catch, this is actually a completely different issue to the one that was fixed (and why this thread exists).
Turns out the Android app (and possibly others) makes a different call to check changes when loading an item. It works in Web because that code path was fixed to support the new agent whereas the one that Android is calling wasn’t updated.
This is actually a simple fix and I’ll try get this patched as soon as I can.
Is it normal behavior that when new SRT is added you MUST open the movie to load the SRT? Because when I use the Plex Web app > open the movie > I see the subtitle text changing.
Not a big deal if that is the correct behavior, just pointing out that maybe it is an issue as it doesn’t seem to add the subtitle in the background.
This is still happening to me. Added a movie with both embedded PGS and External SRT file. On LG TV and Android app it only shows PGS, I have to open in the browser, see the text change to SRT for the SRT to propagate for other apps
