Plex not stopping channels on tuner after done watching

I have the HDHomeRun connect and all looks to be well, however when I start a Live feed everything seems to go well, until I am done and hit stop. It seems that Plex is not sending a command to the Connect to stop the stream on the tuner. After two plays I get errors that there is no available tuner and the Connect starts to reject requests for new channels. I have to physically reboot the Connect to be able to stream live TV again. I have tried setting straight stream and also tried setting it to auto transcode.

Logs show it completes, but the Connect never gets a stop command and the tuner just stays open.

Additionally, I cannot seem to play TV at all in the Web Client, just record.

Well. I can’t answer your tuner question but the Web client does not have LiveTV yet. Only certain clients have it currently. Most likely coming but no timeline.
I had noticed the same about the tuner being locked after using Plex Live TV but I thought it was a tuner issue. However, now that I think about it it does not happen with the Channels app on the ATV4 so perhaps it is a Plex issue. I stopped using Plex for LiveTV at home so haven’t thought about it in a awhile.

Yeah, I tried it in the HDHomerun app and it works fine, and loaded emby real quick and it works fine there too, so pretty sure it’s a Plex issue, but I also use 3rd party stuff with it too so don’t want to outright point fingers.

Try updating the firmware on your tuner itself I think I saw a similar thread with that being the fix. If not there is also a new server version now.

I have done that. It is in the latest currently.

Got some great news so far! Just upgraded to 1.8.2.4209 and my problem SO FAR seems like it had been corrected. I will let it run a few and then report back.

Yes, verified working and the latest 1.8.3.4235 this is also corrected.
