Live TV Playback error or Plex does not release Tunners when changing channels

I have attached logs for someone with Plex to review. I have had to either restart the plex service on my Synology NAS or restart the HDHomeRun. It is not a major issue but wanted someone to be aware of this issue. it is honestly acting like the plex is not releasing the tuner when the channel changes and like plex is trying to play both. We are watching plex on Roku 4K+ devices with latest software.

Thank you for reporting this. I am also getting ā€œPlayback Error - This live TV session has endedā€ message, particularly when watching a show that is currently being recorded. I choose ā€œstart from beginningā€ and playback begins, but within a few minutes it fails with the message above.

Iā€™m having this exact same problem. I have another thread thatā€™s been open since August with no help. Live TV stops tuning to any channel

I hope yours gets some traction so we can get this fixed.

I also had the problem and finally went back to the latest 1.22 version of pms. Now everything works fine again.

does not seem like a very good solution but how do I downgrade to that version?

I am using plex with docker and there you can specify the version you want to use.

What is you host system ?

I am using synology NAS DSM 7 maybe they will address this in the next update

Well, this error is reported since months I would say. I donā€˜t know why the plex developers donā€˜t manage to solve this errorā€¦.

May be you can find something at google how to donwngrade your system. I shouldnĖ‹t be a big deal.

If it was installed via package center you can uninstall the server from there.

Ensure ā€œUninstall Onlyā€ is selected. This will retain all server folders.

Once completed, re-install with a version you desire. Process is the same as updating using the manual installation.
