is this what you are looking for?
for some reason the Plex Media Server.1 notepad file wont attach
you have your windows set to hide extensions it seems. those are all .log files
the one that is Plex Media Server is the one i mean ( the one with the 1. is older).
![]()
but just looking at the fact that it was created on the 17th the day before you posted first mean i think the sever on your Netgear has not even been running at all since then. hope fully that log will show what was doing last
( if it wonât attach just add a .txt at the end or zip it up)
not sure why but adding .txt to the end failed to upload and so did zipping it up with winrar
Am I blocked from attaching stuff and posting it?
I canât see any reason your account would be blocked. It is the same process as uploading the screenshots you did previously. If you have google drive, drop box or similar you can add it there and then give me a link
did you find anything?
I have same issue. What I have noticed is Plex is no longer able to see the usb key plugged into router. I remember from getting it originally to run that Plex wonât run without USB key installed. I can see the USB from the router configuration but Plex says I donât have a USB key connected. This configuration was also working until recently. I am running firmware 1.0.4.2 on Nighthawk. Any suggestions?
I also tried to connect to the USB key via the ReadyShare screen and it fails also. I have put a request on the NightHawk forum to see if anything strange was released that impacts the USB mount.
Same issue here. It worked before but now I get the same error message as OP.
i am having the same problem as op. Havent had any problems before. i have done everything on this thread and it still wont let me open plex. I click on plex media server in the router and then click on open plex it opens a new page like normal and asks to log in and then when I login it says the site cannot be reached. 192.** . .* refused to connect. Has anyone figured out how to fix this??? This is the main reason i bought this router was to run plex through it.
same error as OP. seems to have something to do with the router not staying connected to the USB hard rive. I have to physically, powercycle everything to get it working again
Hi plex community has anyone worked out how to fix this issue? Iâm going out of my mind have spent the hole day trying to sort this and no luck. Same issue as everyone else, plex use to work fine then today it is refusing to grant me access to open plex via the router login and I canât see my routers plex server on any app anymore (greyed our) getting really desperate now canât find anything on the net other than this post but canât see a resolution. Can anyone please help
Media sever stop working with update on 1/2/19. Netgear sent a new router and still getting the message that 192.168.X.X:34200/web/index.html is busy/cant connect. Who has the solution to this issue. I have a lifetime membership and no content to see or mount on plex
I had this problem and tried everything including router replacement. It was the drive. I removed the problem drive and put a formatted a clean USB drive with an mp3 for testing and it worked right away. Apparently there are some system files on the drive. I havenât attempted to clean up the problem drive yet. Here was the solution from the Netgear forum. Big thanks to original poster
"Hi. It results a problem with the files on the attached hard drive. I attached a different HD with some files on it and it works again. Some files blocked the communication with the router and refuse the connection.
I deleted the cache, system, etc files on the hard drive when I got all my media, except the media of course. It sucks because I have to re âinstallâ the server again. But it works perfect again. I recommend this solution, itâs not a problem with your proxy, ip, firmware, etc. Just a problem with the cache or system files that generated the same router.
I hope you can fix the issue.
Have a nice day

Thanks! I was having the exact same problem. One difference though, I deleted all the files other than media on my hard drive and then tried with my R9000. No need to completely reformat the drive.
Tried all of that and still no luck. Plex now sees the drive but wont load the media. I can use the ready share and see the drive and the content on my computers but data will not load to plex library to play through devices. After another two hours on the phone with Netgear the issue still is not solve. Thinking Netgear/Nighthawk settings is the problem.
For anyone who is still having issues with the Netgear router this was a simple fix for me.
All I had to do was rename the âLibraryâ folder in my HDD and reboot the router so it can automatically create a new folder. After that I was able to finally access my content.
The only downside is that you have to scan your libraries again and basically reconfigure your libraries and anything you may have customized. Also the âRecently Addedâ will now be completely random.
I had the same problem. I deleted the Library folder, that fixed my issue. Thanks everyone for the help.
