Plex offline since update

everything was working fine and dandy until the update. Once it finished updating I have been having a few issues. Plex refuses to stay connected. I go to remote access and have to press retry once every few minutes. My network config has not changes at all. However just to eliminate any issues I factory reset my netgear Nighthawk XR1000. I made sure UPnP was enabled I also forwarded the correct ports and still having this issue. I have rebooted the pc and still same issue

Plex is running on a dell poweredge rack mounted server, OS is windows server 2012 R2.
I have tested this out using my phone and a friend who lives about 60 min from me. We can access my plex library however its indirect even though it says my plex server is not accessable outsite the network. I have spent the past 8 hours trying to figure this out and frankly getting rather pissed off since this only happened after the update and was working fine with no issues what so ever. I also have the firewall on the server turned off as well just to make sure its not a firewall issue. Logically there shouldn’t be any issues but its refusing to work the way its suppose to

UPDATE: I switched to a my ISP router and having the SAME EXACT issue. Factory reset the router and again same issue. I am an hour away from uninstalling plex altogether and call it quits

Same issue… suddenly plex sais my server is offlinewhile it is not!!
I could watch till yesterday and suddenly today plex reports my server as offline. What is going on? Why is noone from plex looking into this!,

UPDATE: since all the ports are correctly forwarded on my router I decided to do a little test. I installed plex on my gaming pc and had no issues for 12 hours. I even installed the most recent ver. of plex and had no issues on my gaming pc. That tells me there has to be something going on when plex updates on my rack mounted server. There must be something about how it updates that screws it up vs a fresh install. I went into the registry by opening run (windows key + r) and typing in regedit. Once in regedit I went to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and deleted the Plex, Inc. folder. I then went to C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local and deleted the plex media server folder. (this step might take a while, it took about an hour to delete all the files since there were like 1 million+ files that totaled about 22 GB) I then went to control panel and uninstalled plex from the computer. I then rebooted my power edge server. I am reinstalling plex as we speak, Will update with the results after a fresh reinstall

UPDATE 2: that seemed to make it worse. It was working fine for about an hour then the origanal issue started up again. And for some reason plex is seeing my pc with a ipv6 address when I have ipv6 turned off. makes no damn sense to me. Why doesnt plex offer tech support of any sort. Why does it solely rely on users providing support on the forums. For the amount of money we pay for plex pass you would think there would be at least some tech support.

UPDATE 3: I decided after 12 hours of pulling my hair out and troubleshooting I conceded. I reinstalled windows server 2012 R2 and plex. Its now working the way its suppose to. I am wondering if something got messed up when update to the newest plex that caused this issue. I didnt change any of my network settings and BAM its working now LOL go figure

@Bert-Jennekens are you by chance on a VPN, possibly nordvpn?

I figured out what my issue was. Nordvpn updated the other day which is when these problems starting happening. I didnt even realize it updated. I reverted back to 6.40 and all is fine now. Apparently the split tunnel option something went wrong in the new update and its not working the way its suppose to. There have been a lot of people complaining about the split tunneling feature within the past few days with no fix in site. Uninstalling nordvpn and downloading and installing 6.40 resolved me issue. I can connect using my phone app on cellular without any issues. Had my friend try it out and its working flawlessly again. Wish I knew about this earlier this morning lol
