I have tried to use plex on my WD my Cloud mirror, install it on my WD my cloud mirror and recognize very soon that it will take very long to import my 500MB media files with MP3 and videos to the plex mediathek. The same media files I have also on my Macbook hard disc and install also a server on my Macbook. I have import now the media files from my Macbook to my Macbook plex server. This was 10 times faster than to to the same job with my “WD My Cloud Mirror”.
My plan is now to copy just the Plex media server from my Macbook to my “WD My Cloud Mirror” the MP3 and video files are already on my cloud server with the same data structure.
My question is now from which location from my Macbooc to which location on my cloud should I copy the Plex media server and which files should I copy. I would like to have plex on my cloud to have access to my music from every where on the wold. I hope there is an option to do this in this way…
