I have a WDMYCLOUD drive on which I have several videos and movies stored. I would like to add them on my PLEX server but I cannot seem to figure out how to do this (if possible). Also would lihe to add the plex app to WDMYCLOUD, but there is no link to add app on the Dashboard. Any help please
To add media from your WD watch this video.
From the plex media server click the add media button for the type of media it is and then “browse” to locate the movie files on your WD.
Oh, put the media server on your computer not your WD. It should work better that way. The media server software is processor intensive and your computer will have the better processor.
Seeing how your WD is a NAS (network attached storage) the server software will find your WD and work better than being on the NAS.
