I’m trying to post this again, since it’s not possible to get hold of Plex support.
But why isn’t it possible to get the Plex app for android tv to work if there isn’t a big fat pipe to the internet, I only want local playback at my cabin and when no internet WTF…

I have a Plex server in my cabin, but internet can be flaky and missing for long time.
So why isn’t it possible to connect the android tv Plex client to the local server when internet is out
Android app on phone works.
But I can’t use andoid tv app or cast from the working phone to the android app on the tv,
The tv client seems to require internet to start, why
