Plex on Apple TV 4K Fails to Play Dolby Vision File Properly

Server Version#: 1.22.2.4282 on a Synology NAS
Player Version#: not sure, but it is up to date on Apple TV 4K

A DV file served by Plex server on my Synology NAS can play beautifully via the Plex app on my Sony Android TV X900H, but it won’t play properly via the Plex app on my Apple TV 4K that is connected to the same TV, as in, the characters’ skin are in blue or green.

The same Apple TV 4K can stream DV titles from Netflix or Apple TV + without any issue, with Dolby Vision properly activated, but why can’t it play DV files from my Plex server then? Any insights?

Probably Plex<>Apple API issues.
The high level metadata stuff has some lag before it works well. Atmos audio as well.

Hi Menel, can you elaborate? What does “nvm” stand for? and why do you think it should work?
I tried playing DV titles using Plex app on my iPad pro 2020 or iPhone 12 pro Max and it is the same result as on Apple TV 4K, the movie will play, but the colors are in blue or purple. Any insights on this?
