Plex on Fire TV Crashing during adverts

I’ve just installed Plex on Amazon Fire TV and tried to watch a film. It streams ok until the adverts start (after about 15 mins). Once the first advert starts, it buffers every 10 seconds and never finishes the advert… CRASH!, it returns to the home page.

Which Amazon Fire TV (Firestick 4K, Cube v1, Cube v2, etc.)?

Which version of the Plex app?
Available via Authorized Devices if unknown. Also available via Plex app settings. Open Plex app on FireTV, enter app settings, look in lower right corner of screen.

Any movie or a specific movie?

Any ad or a specific ad?

It’s a 2nd gen Fire TV and Plex 8.5.2.20133 (dfd59213).

It happens on all the free films I’ve tried and random ad’s, but I haven’t bought any films to try out because of the crashing!
