For the past couple of months, most the time when I try to watch a movie on Plex (free movies streamed from Plex service), it sticks on the ads. It will play 2 or 3 ads, then freeze at the end of the last ad and not return to the movie.
Is this a known issue? Anything that I can do about it?

I’m having the same issue. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does you can’t watch your show. I was rewatching CHiPs and on an episode it stuck on 6/6 and just had a black screen. Sometimes when it does that, if you wait a minute it will skip to the next one, but last night I just couldn’t watch it. I tried going back to the menu and resuming, and it would play the same ads, with differing amounts of ads, but would always stick on the last. I even tried completely restarting the episode and FF to the last spot, but it would play ads again and get stuck.
I’m having the same problem. When I watch streamed TV shows on the Roku Plex app, I’ll get something like Ad 7 of 9 (nine ads on one break? But that’s for a different thread) and it freezes after the ad. If I back out and re-enter the episode, it starts the same ad set and freezes on the same ad.
Can this be fixed?
