Plex on LG TV says widget not available

Server Version#: It’s my friends plex server, so not sure
Player Version#: Latest LG TV Webos version

Situation is:

  • My friend shares his library with me which appears as a widget
  • When going into the Plex app on the LG TV (Webos), all his shares/widgets say unavailable - unable to contact server, retry? Obviously retrying doesn’t help.
  • The same Widgets work fine on Apple TV, iOS, iPadOS, which are all connected to the same network as the LG TV.
  • I’ve tried resetting the app. Uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing helps.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I’m running 6.0.0.25 according to the ‘about this tv’ page. The information above suggests that I’m running a version higher than the affected version(s)?

I’m in the same situation. I’ve got a LG C9, running webos 5.1+ All other apps on my tv are updated without issue and the tv itself is still getting OS updates.

I know there was a cert that expired… seems like it shouldn’t be an issue since literally nothing else is stuck using expired certs and the OS is being updated still.
