Plex on Nexus 7 (2012)

Server Version#: Version 1.30.0.6486
Player Version#: 8.19.3.26473

I know it’s a dinosaur. Or whatever came before dinosaurs. Anyway, I’ve been trying to re-purpose an old Nexus 7 to use to play to a blue tooth speaker. I’ve upgraded the Nexus 7 to lineage 15.1-20190929 which translates to Android 8.1 (Oreo). I’ve tried multiple Plex apks and they all fail when I try to play any media with ‘An error occurred while playing this item’ message. I’ve tried using VLC as an external player. I’ve tried allowing insecure connections/same network etc. I can connect to other players on the network and cast them which is pretty cool but it doesn’t help me in streaming to a bluetooth speaker. I copied out my relevant section from the log. Any help would be appreciated.
