Some of the files do not play sound on Plex installed on shield? Any clue why and how I can resolve it?

I’ve been having the same issue (and apparently many other) since the last update with no progress. I thought it was the files but they’re all pretty normal - it seems to have trouble with certain types of audio suddenly that it never had issues with in the past. I’ve basically stopped using it until they fix the thing.
Do you know which audio types it is having a problem with?
I honestly do not. I recall I did not have any problems playing any files prior to the NVidia shield system update. So I am perhaps biasing the fault to the new plex builds or NVidia system.
How can I see what is the sound / file type of a file? I believe I can find an example of what worked and what does not.
Randomly Have this problem as well recently. but if I then try to play some other files and find one that sound works with and I go back to the first problematic one it usually works again… very strange indeed,
You can use a program called MediaInfo to look at the audio and video encoding.

It should be resolved once your Shield updates to Plex 9.1
Happend again yesterday. Playing serie fine and then in the middle the sound just stops playing (ACC stereo). Tried some other titles with different codecs and problem was still there no sound. Was to tired to try some more/restart the device (Mi Box S 4k),
Tried again today and everything plays just fine again,
I just updated to Plex 9.2.0 (beta) on the Shield and Its still the same problem…?
@plex support (@tom80H @OttoKerner @ChuckPa) how can we fix this?
