As with everything else in the Plex-world - they never release any expected dates. Sure would be nice to get some information/input on this from the devs.
Sadly I have to agree, it's a shame we're getting no answers on the PS4 front. Sure.. I have Plex/Media Link in my LG TV, but as I might be getting rid of that soon (because its acting up) it would be nice to get an update on things.
So I don’t mean to sound like an annoying idiot but come on guys at plex, are there any updates on this?? Nobody has mentioned anything! We’re left in the dark wondering if it will ever happen.
I would appreciate if someone from the Plex team could indicate that there is some kind of plan to build Plex for the ps4, it would put my mind at ease. I understand that these things take time and it wont just be ready just like that, knowing that its coming will help me be a lot happier with my purchase of the PS4.
I have both consoles and only use the xbone for titanfall. With the power of the ps4 add some sort of media playback like PLEX will make the xbone useless since I could be its excusive on my PC
For the most part this will have no effect on most people.
I have over 1000 movies and none have cinavia protection and play perfectly fine on my sony blu ray player. most people get there movies from various sources on the Internet and just about all rips has that protection removed. You can also do this yourself if ripping a disc from your own collection by using the right tools. if anyone would like more information on how to go about doing this google is your best friend

Thats just ridicilous. Cinavia has not been broken. You can not remove it without seriously distorting the audiotrack. So stop spreading misinformation. Instead of pointing people to Google, why dont you point people to a real, working sollution. One that you have first hand experience that really works. You cant.

Games are what make or break a "game console", not an app ..or any other extra secondary features.
I disagree with this, as right now, I only use my Xbox One to watch content, and VERY RARELY play a game. The voice commands are amazing and I haven't seen or touched my 4 remote's in months. I bought my Xbox One simply for this. If Plex or a third-party developer doesn't release a native Plex app soon, I am going to simply unhook the whole setup and put it back to normal, and sell the Xbox One if I still have to go through the hassle of switching inputs over to my ultrabook to be able to watch local content. SO....Not having a native Plex app on the Xbox One is killing both XBOX and PLEX slowly every day for me, I will simply move to a better solution when/if that solution is available and remove PMS from my NAS for something that is more available.
You can disagree all you want, but what you bought is a gaming console, that has some media options. Why in the world would you pay $500 for a gaming console almost only to play media (which it does poorly atm) when you can choose from a list of decent media players that support Plex for $99?
And why not stop connecting the ultrabook and just get one of those $99 boxes? Unless you're saying that switching inputs is a hassle - which I´m not even going to respond to.

I would also love to see a PS4 client, and even a PS3 client as well ;) Have some problems with my PS3, it can't see the Plex media server, and I don't know why :S

A PS3 should be able to see any DLNA server on the same LAN, including a PMS server with the DLNA server feature enabled. My PS3 has no problem recognizing my PMS server. But it does have some problems coping with my large Plex library sections.
