I have turned my raspberry pi into a portable media server well I have tried at least.
My pi is podcasting its SSID on its static IP address is 192.168.1.145 (example)
My tablet has Plex app installed and connects to this static IP address and finds the server PRIMEDIA and can play the videos from it perfectly now when testing to see if it can handle 2 streams I install and sign into the plex app on my mobile phone. Then I connect to the same static IP address but my phone says one of two things. PRIMEDIA offline yet my tappet is connected. Or Unavailable need to as the user for permission.
Also when I try to access the web interface from my tablet, or phone without being connected to the internet, I get the plex logo appear and then it goes off saying server not avaliable. When I plug it back into the internet and connect it loads up fine.
I have configured it using Hostapd and DNMSq and this following guide.
