I have installed Plex via the package centre on my Synology Nas. After the setup I tried to add libraries. I have them set up in Shared Folders under Media with \Movies, \TV Shows etc. just as Plex likes them. But plex will NOT let me save them as libraries it says cannot save your changes. I have given Plex permission I have given explicit permissions, I have given just about everything permission, but it will not save the libraries. The only time it did, was when I had loaded the libraries under Plex\Library before I saw the dire warnings not to do this. Then it found the Movies library, but wouldn’t add anything else even though all the permissions were the same. So I removed them. But now I am completely out of ideas, I have checked everything I can think of countless times, but get no further. Do I have to go back to running Plex from my PC?
OK, I followed the manual install route, and suddenly everything works like it should! Don’t know what was screwed up, but it was screwed up pretty darned good!
