Synology DSM 7 - Moving Plex from Windows and save library problem

Hi Guys, i have a trouble after migrating my many-years old Plex server from Windows to Synology DSM 7 Nas (runs on Linux).

  • I migrated media files to new storage and allow PlexMediaServer user to Read/Write persmissions on them
  • I migrated folders - Plugins, Metadata, etc.. folders for preseving my libraries settings and stats from old to new plex folder and changed owner of theese folders recursively to PlexMediaServer.

After start new Plex server on NAS, almost all libraries are ok - a set new media places, confirm, save, and everything is fine, but not 4 libraries with TV Shows. Every library with TV Shows gives me “your changes could not be saved” error after i deleted old routes (folders) and set the new. But only TV Shows. Music, films, and everything other is OK.

Any ideas? Thanks so much to everyone! :frowning:

I investigated it alone. Suppose, problem was backup from version 1.25, and new NAS server on 1.21 :slight_smile: After update on NAS to 1.25 it is OK.

1.21.0.3744 is not backward compatible from any version higher than 1.22.3.4973

In 1.22.3.4973, when DSM 7 finalized, the storage layout also became finalized.
(sorry about that). Everyhing is forward compatible by not backward compatible with Package Center.
