I just downloaded the new Plex Media Server Beta for Mac and am seeing my movies and TV shows show up on my PS3 under Video. I am wondering though: will Plex on the PS3 adopt the gridview (like on Netflix) in the future? I have a Roku for another TV and just updated from the Plex Beta app to the Plex app and am a big fan of the gridview.
Plex cant do anything, Sony are the only ones with control over the layout and they do not offer a gridview for DLNA.
As Suodo said, unfortunately we have no control over how the media is presented. When providing content via DLNA, we can only provide lists of media. The DLNA support is very good, but you’ll always have a superior experience with a full Plex client
