There was an older thread about this from a year or 2 ago which is closed, so I’m opening a new one as the issue still exists.

While playing movies or TV shows via the Xbox One X app the video and audio suffer from blackouts for a for 1-2 seconds before resuming. It only happens once per file, but still incredibly annoying.
Previous thread indicated it was an issue with Display Mode Switching, I’ve had this disabled since day one since it caused audio not to work.
I can try a different cable, but I have a hard time believing that’s where the issue is. Update I tried a different cable, issue persists.
I’ll send logs if requested, my server is busy though so I’d rather not reboot it unless necessary.
This issue does not happen during gameplay, leading me to believe it’s an issue with the Plex app.
This is almost certainly related to display mode switching being enabled somehow. If you haven’t already disabled it, then please try disabling it within the app settings. If you do have it already disabled, please try enabling it and disabling it again.
I’ve had it disabled from day one as I previously mentioned.
To me - it seems like it’s a limitation of the Xbox One X somehow, I just recently got the Series X and the issue is not present there. Unless a different version of Plex is installed on the Series X as opposed to the One X? I haven’t hooked my One X back up to check.
