I have a Plex Pass subscription and share my Plex server with family and friends. They’re able to download movies for offline viewing without any issues.
However, when it comes to music via Plexamp, they can’t download any tracks for offline listening — even though I’ve enabled downloads where possible. I’ve searched the forums and support docs but can’t find a clear answer.
•. Is this a limitation of Plexamp or server sharing?
• Do subscribers need their own Plex Pass to download music via Plexamp?
• Or is there a specific setting I’m missing on the server or library level to allow music downloads?
It feels odd that downloads work fine for movies but not for music, especially since I’m paying for Plex Pass. Any guidance or official clarification would be appreciated.
