Plex Pass features

Hi there,

I’m new to this Plex community, and I have read a LOT of posts of documentation, but decided to post these questions for help please.

Up until now, I’ve been using Google Photos (free unlimited) to store my family photos/videos.

But I’m interested in purchasing a Plex Pass lifetime membership to host my ever-growing collection of family photos/videos, but need to know first…

How well does Plex auto-tagging & places work? In Google Photos, my photos of family members are conveniently grouped into selectable icons (showing their faces), and I can search for events, places, things, or even just select videos only. Does Plex have this ability?

I can see photos using a timeline view (sort by Date Taken) on the Plex iPhone app, but it doesn’t have the dates selection bar on the right-side of the screen as it does in the Web app version. This makes it difficult to see at a glance the year/months of when the photos were taken. The Google Photos app does this very well.

Can the Plex Cloud Sync option have the ability to copy content to iCloud or Google Photos (as a supported cloud storage)?

How easy is it to subscribe to Plex Pass for a month, and then if I really like it, then cancel and purchase a lifetime membership?

Thanks in advance.
