Plex Pass Lifetime sale

Some of my friends got an email offering Plex Pass Lifetime for $75. I did not get it. Is there any other way to get this deal?

There is not

Any idea what the requirements were to get it? My friend’s email said that it was an offer for long time Plex users - I have used Plex longer than them and did not get the offer.

it’s random.

Bummer! I would have paid $75 for it.

Everything about Plex is seemingly random these days. But it shouldn’t be called a “sale” if not all users can take advantage of it. It’s not a “while supplies last” sort of thing after all.

I/we didn’t call it a sale. He did.

The only sale going on is the 20% off Lifetime available on our website to anyone.

I think the email said “Special Offer” or something similar. I called it a sale.

If you look at other forums you can find people talking about how they weren’t going to use their code, despite being told not to share it in that email. And yes, that offer was very random.

You can only use the code once, so keep it on the down low (please don’t tweet or post about it!).

Can you point me to one of those forums?

I didn’t bookmark it; I came across it after I got the email myself. Also, you didn’t need to make two threads about this

Humm? So what do we need to do to become random? I might get two at that price.

i would so get a lifetime plex pass if i got the random email

Are there people or some kinda of kick starter thread to get people to sponsor a lifetime pass? In my country $120 translates into R1500, that is my room rent money for a month so I can’t afford that for plex and I only want plex pass for the multi-user support as I bought my mom a UHD smart TV earlier this year so wanted to setup an account for her on my server.

Saving up for the Plex Pass sounds like a good idea to me, rather than asking people to pay for it for you.

Well I guess that’s what you call a typical 1st world response. Nevermind, please delete my post as I can’t find a way to do this myself. Forget I said anything but for the record in an international online community I’ve helped people by sponsoring things like $20 compendiums when asked if and when I could, I didn’t look down on anyone asking for help or anything but given how heavily the exchange rate is skewed each dollar in price difference makes it feel like more of an exponential number for me to get so it’s ok, I’ll go on as is without your assistance. Thank you for your opinion and opening my eyes to the harsh reality.

Since you’re able to gift others $20 multiple times, you should also be able to save up for a Plex Pass. I understand your idea, and there are generous people out there, but who’s to determine that YOU of all people in need deserve $120? There are certainly lots of good people around who can’t even afford to gift away $20, for example.

Furthermore, how do we even know that your claim of generosity is genuine? Unfortunately, it’s very common these days to read about people who save lost kittens and cure cancer while tragically being X dollars short of helping their mother with Alzheimers. It’s not that the world is selfish, it’s just that - frankly speaking, you’re not special.

I wasn’t trying to be special, just like I’m sure you weren’t trying to be a ■■■■, yet here we are! Anyway, I have a plex lifetime pass now so
think what you want, say what you want
I forgot all about this thread as it was posted so long ago, anyway you enjoy your weekend Mr ‘Special’.

You’re right, I wasn’t trying to be rude. My intention was to explain how your plea might sound to others. I’m glad you worked it out in the end!

Still it’s several months later so you could’ve thought to yourself that none of this is relevant anymore but it’s ok
what’s done is done, keep well, take care and all that other good stuff.
