Hi I am newbe and just Ordered my Plex Pass and Installed Plex on my NOW TV BOX but unsure what to do now as Clicked on Discover Servers and nothing happens ? any Ideas what I need to do to get up and running
Not sure what a “Now TV Box” is? Did you install The Plex APP? or the Plex Media Server?
The Now TV Box looks like a rebranded Roku. If that is the case, then you Installed the Plex Client, not the Plex Server.
Do you have a Plex Server somewhere with your content?
Yes installed plex Server onto Roku.did not see any links for Client
The Now TV is a Roku Clone device made in Europe. It can have the Roku client app sideloaded onto it.
But this is NOT Plex Media Server. This is Plex Client.
Plex is not a place where you get free media streamed from other people’s machines without an invite. Plex is about setting up a server on a computer or NAS, then setting up the appropriate client app on your playing devices. Then putting media you own the license to, through DVD rips, etc. onto the server and sharing it out.
