Plex Pass umziehen?

Server Version#:

Hallo

Filme - DVD - Film A, Film B…

Filme - BD - Film A, Film B…

Oder doch lieber,
Filme - DVD - A-Film A, Film B…
Filme - DVD - B-Film A, Film B…
Filme - DVD - C-Film A, Film B…

Filme - BD - A - Film A, Film B…
Filme - BD - B - Film A, Film B…
Filme - BD - B - Film A, Film B…

Danke.

I am not going to attempt German for this response.

  1. Plex Pass follows your account not the server. I have 4 servers that all have Plex Pass under my account

  2. Base folder structure is up to you, I would use Movies, TV, Music Videos , if you keep your BR movies in a separate location, just use Movies - BR or something similar.

  3. I’ll copy/paste my standard response for naming below. But I always use the same naming structure per the Plex recommended format and have zero issues.

My canned response is to see https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-movie-media-files/ and:
If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using Download - tinyMediaManager and use ${title} (${year}) {imdb-${imdb}} as the new name format.

Folder format:
${title} (${year})

(Please note I linked to the v3 which is free to use)

OK thanks for the answer. So does that mean I install Plex on the new Synology, log in with the account where I bought the Plex Pass, and then the Plex Pass is there?
And I thought that I could use the Plex Pass on a server, and if I had to reinstall it, I would either have to save all the settings first and re-import them, or I would have to somehow transfer the license file to another one, i.e. my new Plex server. So I’ll do that Don’t see or think everything so complicated.
Am I seeing it correctly?
Thanks.

Correct

There are instructions for moving your install from one server to another, that is fairly complex, if you had a large number of people sharing your server and didnt want to reshare. But for the simple new server setup your plex pass will just work.

Thank you very much. Attached, which installation do I have to use now? When I installed my Plex it was different. I don’t understand the difference between normal and claim tokens…
Thanks.

Ok then that’s the normal installation for me. Because I don’t have anything to uninstall on the new NAS.
Thanks.

If you have any difficulty claiming,

  1. Uninstall the package ( Uninstall Only option - KEEP )

  2. Reinstall same SPK file again – ABER —

    – Plex Claim Token
    – Neue oder verlorene Server

This claims the server as the software is installed.

Some users have difficulty when multiple servers are in use.
This prevents the problem.

Ok thanks, the answers were very helpful.
