Hello, does Plex on FireTV Cube gen 3 support TrueHD Passthrough ?
Its turned on, but the Samsung Q995B Soundbar says just Multi PCM.
FireTV Cube gen 3 should handle Passthrough since latest firmware.

Do you have Passthrough enabled in the app settings. I have not used a Fire TV device in a while, does the device have its own audio settings? Is the device connected directly to the soundbar or or to the TV? If it is connected to TV then the TV needs to support true HD passthrough as well.
hi. i firetv cube ist sound mode on “best”. its directly connected to the soundbar.
Passthrough in plex ist active (hdmi).
with the latest firmware of firetv cube (is installed) should Passthrough work.

I think plex has to do an update? i read the same probleme from other users.
Plex does transcode it the trueHD to OPUS.
What I found out: Dolby True HD Atmos / DTS goes through Kodi with Plex Connect. Even if the FireTV Cube is connected to the TV itself. So there has to be an update from Plex for the app to work directly. How to pass this info to the Plex developers?
