Hello Everyone. Ever since the last update I have had major issues with Plex freezing every 7-10 minutes when watching Movies and or TV. Has anyone else experienced this? I have family using Plex remotely and they do not have this issue. But on all my TV’s in my home I keep having this issue and it’s really getting annoying. I am a lifetime subscriber and love Plex but this needs to be fixed. If anyone has a solution I would appreciate any help you can give me.
This happens straight from my server on all my TV’s in the house. I haven’t even played the VOD movies yet. Just wondering if this is a glitch others are experiencing? This just started happening when a few months ago and I thought it might be fixed with updates but it has not. Am I missing something in my settings? I love Plex but I am using Embry as a backup that in all honesty SUCKS! But I get no pauses with my media on that service?
Some similar issues floating around the forum. Any other specifics you can add, like are you transcoding, after the pause can you resume playing, does the server need to be restarted etc?
Would you be willing to post logs, after restarting the server and viewing a file until the issue occurs?
I have a similar issue. Mine is about every 20 minutes. Running on a TerraMaster F2-210, no transcoding, just streaming the movies files via DLNA to a player on a client (not a plex client-this is on an Oculus Quest). The client decodes the files. Interestingly enough, if I switch to SMB it works fine, no pauses, but then I don’t have thumbnails, etc.
EDIT - Plex server version is 1.18.4.2171 and after it pauses for about 2-4 minutes then it starts playing normally again until the next freeze.
