Plex player for Mac 1.77.3.3966 Playback Abruptly Exited Repeatedly

Plex [player] for Mac 1.77.3.3966
Mac Studio (2022) (M1 Max, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSB [282GB free] )
macOS 12.6.8 (Monterey)
I use a 55" 4K UHD TV as the only Mac display via HDMI.

PMS for Mac 1.32.4.7195
Plex for iOS 8.20

Plex [player] for Mac 1.77.3.3966 repeatedly abruptly exited playback of a OTA Live TV 1080i show being recorded, NBC’s Top Story With Tom Llamas (2021) - 2023-09-06 02 12 00 - Top Story With Tom Llamas, which was scheduled to, and did record from 2:12am – 3:00am PDT [-0700]. (I had no such problem then watching the same show still while it was being recorded using Plex for iOS 8.20 on my iPad.)

Later, after the Top Story … show completed recording, I was able to watch the fully recorded show using Plex [player] for Mac without the any spontaneous playback exits.

I did experience an audio bug, though. After several FF-30sec UI actions, audio completely failed. I was able to get audio to resume merely by clicking upon the playback settings icon (without making any changes). I was not able to evoke the audio failure again.

.

I typically only use Plex [player] for Mac for Plex administration and limited testing, so I can’t know if the aberrant behavior is new, nor if not uncommon. FWIW, the Plex [player] for Mac version 1.77.3.3966 definitely performs much better than previous versions did many months ago, when for many versions, I could not watch, nor playback any content reliably on my Mac’s 4K TV display.

(I will sent logs, preferences and databases to staff directly.)
