Live TV on Plex Playback Problems - Mac Player

Just tried “Live TV on Plex” in Mac player and found mixed results when trying to play offerings. Usually video will play but no audio. On occasion, audio would start after several seconds but video would be frozen.

Reviewed my settings and tried the following:

  1. Using Mac player - Playback of previously recorded TV programs (on server) worked fine.
  2. Using Mac payer - Playback of live TV programs ( TV and DVR ) via server worked fine.
  3. Using Mac via website - Playback of “Live TV on Plex” worked as expected.

Concluded the problem was isolated to streaming of “Live TV on Plex” feature only on Mac via server.

Turned my attention to the server capabilities.

  1. Using alternative player on iPad - “Live TV on Plex” - video and audio worked as expected.

  2. Tried player on iPhone and Apple TV and don’t find “Live TV on Plex” offering. Only Live TV. from tuner. I’ll accept these differences in offerings knowing that iPads and iPhones can work differently.

At this point I’m concluding the server appears to be capable.

Have I missed something? Suggestions other than when wanting to access this content on the Mac to use the browser?
