Please note that Plex Media Server which can be installed on a NAS simply serves media via HTTP/HTTPS to Plex Clients. In order to achieve what you want, you would need a Plex client installed on the QNAP NAS that supports Linux and HDMI out.
We do have plans to bring the new Plex HTPC app to Linux platforms in the future (announcement here Introducing Plex HTPC!). Once we have Linux support then we investigate support for QNAP’s HDMI out support on specific NAS models.
In the meantime, you could experiment with installing Kodi on the QNAP NAS, then install a 3rd party Plex addon for Kodi such as “PlexKodiConnect” to get the Plex integration you would like, then use the Kodi HDMI out.
