Plex Player skipping in the middle of episode

For a couple of weeks now I’ve been getting complaints from plex for windows users, that media would skip to next episode at random, or media simply won’t play. I’ve tested the media in question on my android and windows laptop with VPN (so it’s remote) and haven’t noticed anything wrong. Since plex for windows will auto update I’m guessing my two users’ players are somewhat up-to-date. I’ll ask and update the post.
Last playback failures accurance at around 21:40ish 01.06.
Last skipping issue at around 19:15ish 31.05.

I’ve looked through the server logs at the time frames but couldn’t find any blatant errors.
Also, should i keep debug mode enabled for this kind of troubleshooting?

I have plex running on a ubuntu-server 21.04 behind nginx. nginx didn’t throw me any errors.

I’ve experienced this issue in the past and this usually happen when you’re using skip 30s
or back 10s frequently, next you know you’d been jumped to the next episode unknowingly. This usually happens to me before on transcoded streams.

Is that what you’re experiencing?

I’ll ask my users if they’ve done anything to provoke a “misfire”
Edit: nope, just happens out of the blue about every second 20min episode
