Plex poster metadata for TV show series

Hi,

I’m new to Plex so hopefully this is in the right place and i’ve provided the right information.

I’ve got an issue where a season of a TV show has an incorrect poster. The poster is not totally incorrect, but it is for a foreign language version of the show. If I edit the poster of the show itself I get several choices scraped from the web, but when I edit the poster of the individual season I don’t get any choices and need to manually upload one.

It would be great if the poster(s) for the show itself were selectable within the edit season option, so I don’t need to manually find and upload an image. This would also be useful for single-season shows where there is no need for a separate per-season poster.

Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong or missing something obvious. Thanks!

It is – if the metadata sources provide several choices.
Look up your show at TheMovieDB.org
Keep in mind that Plex will only pick posters which are tagged with the language of your library or have no language assigned.

Ah thanks, that is something I hadn’t noticed (the shows I had looked at didn’t have any pictures available for the seasons at all.

I still think it would be a good idea, if Plex could sync down posters from the show level to the season level, maybe only if there was only 1 or less posters synced from tvdb or themoviedb.

In any case I’d consder this closed, thanks for your help.
