Plex Loading TV Show Metadata But Not Posters / Artwork / Covers For Specific Seasons

I’ve recently been having issues with retrieving posters for random TV Show seasons. Some new seasons apply the correct metadata description for each episode but do not give me the option to change the poster. The poster is either linked to the main poster of show or links to my local folder. Here is what I’ve tried so far:

  • I’ve switched the “Agent” priority around a dozen times to match what people have recommended online, with no positive results.
  • Performed the “Plex Dance” numerous times.
  • Disabled pop-up blockers when refreshing metadata.
  • Checked all the episodes for correct formatting.

Here is an example:

  • I have four seasons of Fuller House and the first three have all the correct metadata including the ability to change the season poster.
  • The fourth season has correct descriptions but doesn’t give me additional options to change the season poster.
  • When I change the main poster of the show, the first three seasons remain the same but the fourth season matches the main poster.

I had the same issue.
I turned off the popup blocker for the plex site, and the artwork showed again.
I think the popup blocker sometimes thinks the artwork is banner ads.
That worked for me.

it just means that there is no poster for season 4 from your metadata agents available. In such a case, Plex uses the poster of the whole series for it.

I disabled my pop-up blocker and actually uninstalled it once as a test. Still, no posters showed.

I also thought that there just may not be any artwork for a particular season, but after doing some digging around I found season specific posters on TVDB. I found artwork for most of my missing seasons so I don’t think that is the case.

I appreciate the suggestions but I think there’s something else wrong.
