Plex randomly stops/pauses on Shield TV (WiFi only)

Plex is randomly stopping /pausing (play buffer stops updating and then pauses when the client runs out of buffer to play)

This ONLY happens when playing over WiFi to my Shield Pro and Shield Tube. Both clients have an excellent 5ghz connection with line of sight and both players have static IPs ((192.168.100.101 & (192.168.100.102). All other devices in the house work flawlessly, as do other apps like Netflix running on the Shields.

My Server is locally hosted on the same subnet through an Asus AC86u router. The 5ghz WiFi is locked to control channel 149 at 80mhz. The server has a static IP (192.168.100.100)

Unfortunately I just moved and can’t run ethernet.

Is anybody else encountering this issue?
