Hello,
To avoid the problem with playback speed increase and EAC3 sound (and subtitles), I force a re-encode of my video (with a specific bitrate of about the original) then I can increase the playback speed and it works perfectly.
When the episode is finished, Plex plays the next one automatically (perfect) but the playback speed is back at x1 (the application says x2 but it is x1).
If I change the option to x1 (as it is shown in x2 ) the bug (with playback speed increase) appears again (so my guess is that it loses the reencode too).
So, I have no other choice to cancel the playback after each video, then select the video again then force a re-encode and then finally increase the playback speed again.
Is there a workaround or a possibility to solve the problem?
How exactly are your forcing the encode? By just selecting a different quality during playback? Also what issue are you referring to that forces you to encode? I would like to reproduce the issue.
This also happens while on smart tv apps while watching a playlist. I went thru the trouble of creating a playlist on the web so that I could play it on the tv. I pressed play and then changed the speed to 1.75x like I do for everything only to have it default back to 1x speed.
There is no option to change the speed on my account to default at 1.75x. There is no option or way to create a playlist other than on the web. There is no way to create a queue other than on the web.
Seems like many of the most basic functions are missing.
I want the ability to set DEFAULT PLAYBACK SPEEDS for the entire account. Not just the client I am watching on. I do not want to have to change it ever.
Playback speed changes regardless of what you are doing. So now I have to resort back to just using the web client. Let hope they fix it with their new “skin” they are beta testing now.
