I’ve been having this issue for months now, but have just been dealing with it. It has finally reached a point where I am hoping to find a solution.
It seems like every time I try to access my server, be it on my Apple TV, laptop browser, or iPhone, it says that my server is unavailable. If I wait a minute or so and try again then it connects. It doesn’t happen this way all of the time, but it’s enough to be maddening. Any thoughts?
-Running PMS 1.18.7.2415 on late 2014 Mac Mini, but it’s been occurring for months and with earlier PMS versions
-WiFi is an Orbi mesh network, which my instincts are telling me is the cause

FYI I am not an advanced user. I tinker quite a bit and am capable, but I am not a coder or systems-builder.
That seems like a logical enough solution. I went in to the Mini’s energy settings and I kept the box checked for ‘Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when display is off’ and then I unchecked ‘Put hard disks to sleep when possible.’
I didn’t have any issues before, but unchecking the ‘Put hard disks to sleep…’ box seems like it could work. I’m going to feel like an idiot if the fix was this simple. I’ll report back tomorrow.
and sure enough this appears to have resolved the issue. i’m so glad it was a simple fix, but am beating myself up for not thinking of this. always thankful for the brainstorming of the forums.
