Plex relay and CGNAT

Server Version#: 1.23.2.4625
Player Version#: 4.58.1

Hi!

I’ve been behind carrier grade nat for a while now and i’m therefore using plex relay for remote access, this has worked well untill today. Now plex says that my server is fully accessible outside my network, even though my ISP blocks all ports (and i’ve also not oppened port 32400 for plex on my own router) so even though it says it’s accessible, it is not, and it won’t use plex relay because it thinks that remote access is working.

I’ve tried switching routers, migrating from the official docker container to linuxserver, and changing a ton of settings, but nothing seems to help :-/

Do any of you have any idea about what might be causing this?

Cheers!

Could be UPnP doing something. Go ahead and in your PMS settings, enable the option to “Manually supply public port” and just add any random 5 digit number in there and hit apply. This should cause remote access to fail and get you back on relay.

Another possibility is that Plex is adding support for IPv6, which does get around CGNAT. Client still need work so they may not connect but the server is ready for it, Go to your network settings and disable support for IPv6.
